Dance Styles

We provide a variety of dance programs to suit the different ages and levels of the young dancer.
PRE-SCHOOL
A combination of tap, creative movement & pre-ballet along with action songs. An excellent program for developing co-ordination & confidence in and fun and caring environment.

KINDERS
A progression from pre-school classes involving a little more structure. They have fun learning beginning tap and jazz moves as well as pre-ballet and gain confidence and co-ordination.

TAP/JAZZ COMBO
A fun class combining beginning technique in both tap and jazz. The young dancer will gain rhythm and co-ordination while learning each style.

TAP
From old Vaudeville to modern Broadway. This is a fun cardio dance style as your feet create the rhythms and sound. C.D.T.A., Syllabus (Canadian Dance Teachers Association) and A.D.A.P.T. (Brian Foley Syllabus).

JAZZ
An energetic dance form done to modern music. Flexibility, timing, rhythm and co-ordination are just some of the benefits of this fun dance style. We follow A.D.A.P.T. (Brian Foley Syllabus).

BALLET
This is the foundation of all dance styles. Learn body awareness, while promoting good posture, grace, control, strength, musicality, concentration and discipline. Classical ballet technique R.A.D Syllabus.

LYRICAL
Interpretive dance based in jazz and ballet technique complemented by the fusion of modern and contemporary. The students learn to tell a story through their dance and expression.

CONTEMPORARY
An expressive style of dance that combines different styles of dance blended together (mainly ballet, jazz, modern and lyrical).

HIP HOP
An energetic form of jazz incorporating today’s latest video moves. Funky fun movements involving various street dance styles.

STRETCH & STRENGTH
Exercises to build core strength & flexibility to enhance jazz and lyrical styles.

ACRO
Basic acrobatic and gymnastics skills as well as balances and poses combined with stretching and strength exercises.

ADULT
Street Jazz combining traditional jazz with Hip Hop as wells as stretch & strength exercises. Great for cardio as well as strength, flexibility, co-ordination and musicality.
